Concerts at the Condon Shell | Fab4 Summer 2024

Updated: Jul 15

Nothing is more fabulous than New England's outdoor music season! This summer, once again, the Medford Rec, Laura Brereton's Medford Music Studio and the Medford Farmer's Market are hosting a series of 4 nights of music at the Condon Band Shell, next to the Mystic River.

All shows are Thursdays at 6:30 and are free and appropriate for all ages. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy great live music and some fun farmer's market fare! Put the dates on your summer calendar now!!

[Say Darling has been rescheduled for September 12, due to excessive heat and humidity and poor air quality.]

Thursday, July 18 | Baker Thomas Band

Self-described as "Louisiana-brass band meets a swing- thumping bassline with dueling guitars." The Baker Thomas Band developed out of a weekly residency at Cambridge's TOAD, where "the original line up was drums, bass, guitar, keyboard and trombone.  From that humble 5 we've grown and now the band is rarely less than 9 or 10 artists with a full horn section and percussion section as well."

Thursday, August 1 | Debo Ray

Local, and classically trained, "Grammy-nominated and award-winning artist, Debo Ray is an immersive musical and visual experience. Possessing an incredible vocal range and versatility, she seamlessly brings out the soulful richness of R&B creating a unique and captivating pop sound. A charismatic performer and storyteller, she connects deeply with her audience, leaving them nourished with the depth of her artistic expression."  Check out her work on Spotify.

Thursday, Aug 29 | Cheryl Arena Band

And, last but not least, we've got blues from another Boston-area local, Cheryl Arena, who "mesmerizes audiences with her sultry voice and powerhouse energy. She is a triple threat - a great songwriter, vocalist and blows harp like there’s no tomorrow..." “She may be from Boston, but her heart’s from Mississippi”- Johnny Rawls.

Thursday, September 12 | Say Darling

Back from last year, Say Darling will end our season with “...a brutal force of badass bluesy goodness intertwined with jazzy licks and a swing backing that will get you moving, shaking and shatter all your reservations about getting down…” - Red Line Roots. Until next year!!

4Squares Residential Group is proud to be a premiere sponsor for these concerts - for those of you who know me and Clark, you know we are life-long musicians and big live music fans!! We'll see you there!!
