Jazz and more Jazz
This month, The Medford Jazz Festival and the West Medford Community Center will be hosting three days of live music at various locations on August 16th, 17th & 18th. Click the link above or see the flyer below for all the details! The following weekend at the Condon Shell, the Medford Trad Jazz Festival also offers a two-day line-up of local jazz musicians. Both festivals are free and open to the public.
MFN Summer Concerts | Tuesdays, 6-7 PM
The Medford Family Network has been hosting free family-friendly concerts at Wright's Pond all summer, but in August, they move the Tuesday night music down to the Condon Shell. Still to come are musicians Lindsay Monroe, Coywolf Johnson and Ben Rudnick, and plan for children's activities before the music starts! Dates are in the graphic below.
If you missed Matt Heaton & The Outside Toys at Wright's Pond, Matt's got a busy end-of-summer schedule posted, so catch him at a local library (playing for kiddos), or at other nearby adult venues, where he shares his diverse repertoire.
Condon Shell Summer Concert Series | Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 PM
4Squares is proud to help sponsor 2 more Thursday night shows at the Condon Shell. Get ready for Thursday, Aug 29 with the Cheryl Arena Band and Thursday, September 12 with Say Darling. Both shows start after the Farmer's Market at 6:30 and are free and appropriate for all ages. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy great live music and some fun farmer's market fare! Medford Public Library Outdoor Patio Concerts | Thursdays
This free music series flew a little under the radar, but stroll past the library's outdoor patio and catch the final act, Pink Slip, later this month - Thursday, Aug 22 at 7 PM. The library also hosts indoor music events throughout the year.
Chevalier Theatre, 30 Forest Street
Coming up, Medford will welcome Gin Blossoms in August, Ringo Starr in September, Billy Bragg in November and the Indigo Girls in December - among other big names! Check out the schedule and artist info on the Chevalier's official homepage.
